Visitor Management Software Dropbox Card Collector / Proximity Card Reader
The Dropbox design provides a simplified, highly affordable solution for ticketing and visitor management systems. Users can drop their visitor cards into the dropbox to gain access for exit or entry. The dropbox can be integrated with any access control reader.
The slim, small profile design makes it easy to use side-by-side with other pedestrian gates and building entrances.
Application
Dropbox is suitable for indoor applications only. It is NOT suitable for outdoor installation or use near seaside locations.
Features
  • Flexible card size support for cards up to 10cm wide. DBX100 can accommodate entire cards with card holders and pin clips.
  • Seamless integration with VMS and access control systems. Any proximity reader can be installed inside the dropbox.
  • User-friendly operation with intuitive LED indicators: Green light for valid cards, Red light when fully occupied.
  • Easy maintenance with key-operated top and bottom covers for servicing and collection bin access.

Typical Application Usage
The Dropbox can be integrated with visitor management software (VMS) to achieve automatic visitor check-out functionality. Visitors no longer need to return to the reception counter to return their cards - simply dropping the visitor card into the dropbox automatically checks out the visitor in the VMS software records.
For ticketing applications, visitors can purchase entrance fees and receive a proximity card. Dropping the proximity card into the dropbox triggers the gate to open. Operators can collect all tickets from the collection bin when full and reuse the proximity cards for future visitors.
