Installation Instructions
Module Configuration
The receiver module J4 includes an option switch for NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) photocell operation:
  • When the short circuit cap is on NO position, the system operates as normally open
  • When the short circuit cap is on NC position, the system operates as normally closed
Installation Guidelines
  • Install photocells at least 20cm above ground level to prevent signal reflection
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 50cm between emitter and receiver units
  • Position photocells away from direct sunlight or other strong light sources (±5° tolerance)
  • Avoid installing other infrared photocell emitters within the receiver's effective range
  • For multiple photocell installations in a straight line, position receivers at both ends with emitters installed back-to-back
  • Ensure stable mounting to prevent signal misalignment from vibration and malfunction
  • For angled installations, adjust the PCBA for optimal alignment
Operation Verification
After installation and inspection, connect power and verify operation:
  • With short circuit cap at NO: Emitter LED on, Receiver LED on, NO/NC contact ON
  • When emitter and receiver are aligned: Receiver LED off, NC/NO contact OFF
  • When sensor is obstructed: Receiver LED turns on, NO/NC contact activates
  • With short circuit cap at NC: NO/NC states are opposite to the above conditions
