Product Description
ISO 2 Microprocessor Dual Channel Vehicle Loop Detector
Parking Management System Improve Efficiency Factory Supply Double Channel Vehicle Loop Detector PD-232
Product Introduction
This loop detector is a dual microprocessor-based detector designed specifically for parking and vehicle access control applications. The primary function of the detector is to detect vehicle presence by means of an inductance change caused by the vehicle passing over a wire loop buried under the road surface.

Product Features
Reset Switch: Enables manual reset during registering and testing for system recovery
Selectable Pulse Time: Configurable pulse relay duration of 1S or 0.5 Seconds
Pulse Relay Selection: Configurable to activate on vehicle detection or when vehicle leaves the loop
Sensitivity Reinforcement: Maximum sensitivity setting to prevent failing to detect large trucks
Switch Sensibility Adjustable: 4 sensitivity settings available
Switch Frequency Adjustable: 4 frequency settings to prevent signal interference with neighboring loops
Filtering Option: Delay between detection and relay switching to prevent false detection of small or fast moving objects
Permanent Presence Option: Maintains detection when vehicles stay within the loop area for extended periods
Installation & User Guide
The detector must be installed in a convenient weatherproof location as close to the loop as possible.
WARNING:
1) Installation and operation by service personnel only
2) Disconnect power before working on this unit
A correct loop configuration and detector installation will ensure a successful inductive loop detection system.
Operational Constraints
Crosstalk
When two loop configurations are in close proximity, the magnetic field of one can overlap and disturb the field of the other. This phenomenon, known as crosstalk, can cause false detects and detector lock-up. Crosstalk can be eliminated by:
  • Careful choice of operating frequency - closer loops require further apart frequencies
  • Minimum spacing of 7 feet between loops where possible
  • Careful shielding of feeder cables if routed with other electrical cables (shield earthed at detector end only)
Reinforcing
The existence of reinforced steel below the road surface reduces inductance and sensitivity. In this case, add two additional turns of wire to the loop. Ideal spacing between loop cable and steel reinforcing is 6 inches. Keep slot depth as shallow as possible.
Installation Information
Loop and Feeder Specification
The loop must consist of insulated wire with minimum copper cross-sectional area equivalent to 1.5 square millimeters. The feeder should be of the same material, but twisted (minimum 20 twists per meter). Joints in the loop or feeder are not recommended. Where necessary, joints must be soldered and terminated in a waterproof junction box. For long loop feeders or those routed with other electrical wiring, use screened cable with screen earthed at detector end only.
