The tripod turnstile represents the fundamental type of pedestrian turnstile gate, consisting of chassis, mechanism, and three blocking rods that operate through 120° rotation cycles. Key components include chassis, mechanism, drive control board, limit switches, direction indicator board, access control integration, and optional counter functionality.

The metal rods (standard 50cm length) form a spatial triangle as the blocking mechanism, constructed from durable 304 or 316 stainless steel that resists deformation. Blocking and releasing actions are achieved through precise rotational movement.

Available in mechanical, semi-automatic, and fully-automatic control modes, with vertical and bridge configurations. Vertical models offer compact size and easy installation, while bridge types provide extended channel length and enhanced security.
