Product Installation Details
  • The detector should be installed in a waterproof housing positioned as close to the loop as possible
  • Use insulated copper wire with minimum cross-sectional area of 1.5mm² for both loop and feeder components
  • Twist the feeder cable with at least 20 turns per meter to minimize interference
  • Avoid wire joints whenever possible; when necessary, solder connections and ensure waterproofing
  • For areas with electrical noise, use screened cable with the screen earthed at the detector
  • Create square or rectangular loops with minimum 1 meter distance between opposite sides
  • Standard installation uses 3 turns of wire; adjust based on loop circumference requirements
  • Maintain at least 2 meters separation between adjacent loops to prevent cross-talk interference
  • Cut installation slots using masonry tools with 45° corner cuts to protect wire integrity
  • Create slots approximately 4mm wide and 30-50mm deep
  • Extend one corner slot to roadside to accommodate feeder cable routing
  • Use single continuous wire lengths without joints for optimal performance
  • Account for wire length reduction due to twisting when planning feeder runs
  • Seal completed installations with epoxy compound or bitumen filler
