SINOMATIC’s primary product range includes both DC and AC models, categorized into the PY, DKC, SL, and GA series. Key selection criteria include gate weight, frequency of use, operating environment, and control requirements. It is essential to incorporate a safety margin for gate weight (typically an additional 20%–30%; increase this to 50% for conditions involving strong winds, suboptimal rail alignment, or high-frequency usage).

Distinguishing Between DC and AC Systems in One Sentence

DC 24V (PY-DC / SL-DC / DKC-DC / GA-DC): Features soft-start/soft-stop, quiet operation, and sensitive obstacle-detection (reversing upon contact). Supports backup battery power for operation during outages. Ideal for high-frequency use (>150 cycles/day) at villa or residential complex entrances. Drawback: Slightly more expensive than AC models of the same capacity.

AC 220V /110V (PY-AC / SL-AC / DKC-AC / GA-AC): Offers high torque and durability; cost-effective for heavy-duty applications. Suitable for factory gates with lower usage frequency (<150 cycles/day). Note: Some older models may have weaker obstacle-detection capabilities, so the addition of infrared sensors or ground-loop detectors is recommended.
